Names & Faces
They'll Come
to the Cabaret
by Carol Beggy and Beth Carney
For these
folks, life is a cabaret. Five local performers have been chosen to be
among the 37 fellows for the O'Neill Theater Center's 10th Cabaret Symposium
to be held next month at the theater's Waterford, CT home. After auditions
in New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Los Angeles,
Chicago and Boston earlier this year, performers Will McMillan of Arlington;
John O'Neil and Jan Peters, both of Brookline; Michael Ricca of Boston;
and Nina Vansuch of Belmont were selected. The Cabaret Symposium was created
in 1989 by Ellie Ellsworth and Betsy White to train aspiring cabaret artists.
